Enabling the sustainable production of biofuels
Our mission is to enable the sustainable production of biofuels by developing and commercializing camelina, a competitive, low carbon intensity feedstock. Through our strategic partnership with Shell, a global leader in the energy industry, we work with growers to produce locally grown camelina oilseed that can be refined into renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel. Together, we aim to reduce carbon emissions in aviation, heavy-duty transport, and maritime while promoting sustainable agricultural practices. This unique collaboration combines Shell’s extensive resources with our agricultural expertise to create a brighter, cleaner future for generations to come.
Camelina is a versatile oilseed crop ideal for producing renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel. The grain seamlessly integrates into existing infrastructure and can be processed into both an advanced biofuel and a highly nutritious supplement for animal feed, reducing overall waste. The biofuels produced are interchangeable with their fossil counterparts, have materially lower life-cycle carbon emissions, and require no engine modification. By scaling biofuel derived from camelina oil, we support our farming communities while contributing to our energy and sustainability ambitions.

We walk every field with every grower, and we keep our commitments.
We believe camelina is an excellent rotational intermediate oilseed crop for our growers. It provides similar regenerative benefits to traditional cover crops — improving soil health, mitigating erosion, and enhancing biodiversity. Many growers face challenges fully implementing cover crops due to the cost of establishment and the lack of immediate returns. Our partnership provides an additional revenue source that offsets those costs and incentivizes the practice.

We’re vertically integrated, involved in developing leading plant genetics through aggregation and sale. Guaranteed offtake agreements mean growers aren’t left to market grain on their own — competitive, transparent pricing, backed by strong partnerships across the value chain.
