Building Better Camelina, One Season at a Time
Every variety VISION deploys starts with a diverse genetic base proven out in the field. Our R&D team breeds camelina for the traits that matter to growers: stronger yields, lower inputs, and reliable performance across regions.
Purpose-built to move varieties forward.
An emerging crop with real room to improve.
Camelina is an emerging crop. That means there’s real room to make it better, and VISION’s R&D team is doing exactly that.
We have a state-of-the-art 80-acre research station equipped with three greenhouses, growth chambers, purpose-built seed and equipment warehouse facilities to efficiently develop varieties with valued traits and improved characteristics.
Our breeding program is focused on developing multiple valued traits with the goal of having the leading camelina varieties in the market — so they perform better for our growers, season after season.
A multi-year pipeline, tested before it reaches your field.
VISION runs a multi-year breeding pipeline, testing new camelina lines and technologies through several stages before they’re ready for commercial planting.
Our trials program network evaluates products across multiple growing regions for best varietal fitness within those regions — before they ever reach a producer’s field.
Backed by real results, not guesswork.
VISION’s R&D team works hand in hand with our field team to turn research into results growers can count on. As new varieties and production practices move through development, we bring growers proven genetics, backed by real trial data.
